OpenSwap Introduces Bridge Troll Staking for the Pilot OpenSwap Bridge
Hello Trolls, we are pleased to announce that the final preparations for the OpenSwap Bridge is underway. Thank you for your continued support and patience.
The OpenSwap Bridge Pilot Phase is fast approaching and we have two more steps before we go live!
Thus far, we released two versions of the Bridge Vaults and are grateful for the community contribution of $OSWAP to the vaults. Just a reminder to move your $OSWAP out of the previous version of the vault on Avalanche C-Chain as this version has been deprecated.
Meet our Green Bridge Trolls
Today, we are super excited to introduce you to our Green Bridge Trolls. The Open Interchain Protocol will begin with 5 Green Bridge Trolls and they serve the critical role of ensuring the Mean Bridge Trolls behave appropriately by validating their bridge transactions. These Green Bridge Troll operators were selected from our trusted partners to become our founding validators for the network.
Our operators are standing by, eager to take action, but we’re not quite there yet. This is where we need your help!
To activate our Green Bridge Trolls, we need at least one Troll NFT (get yours here!) to be staked. As a valued holder of these coveted NFTs, you have the opportunity to support our network and receive a portion of the fees collected by the Green Bridge Troll you stake with.
Should you find that your chosen operator is not performing optimally, rest assured that you have the freedom to stake your NFT with another Green Bridge Troll. Keep in mind that the portion of fees received is shared amongst all stakers, so it’s worth considering the number of NFTs already staked in a given Troll before making your move.

Next Steps
Our core team is hard at work preparing the Mean Bridge Troll network for the highly anticipated OpenSwap Bridge Pilot go-live. We’re expecting it to be fully operational within the next few weeks, right around the time that the Green Troll Network is set to be fully activated. These are truly exciting times for us, and we can’t wait to open up the bridge!
